Supported clients
Any MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP and can send a bearer token can use Drum with an API token. Sign in with Drum works only for the clients Drum has verified.
Sign in with Drum (OAuth)
| Client | Where you add Drum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and the Claude mobile apps) | Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector | Add it once on claude.ai or Desktop. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add it for the organisation first |
| ChatGPT | ChatGPT’s connector or app settings, as a custom MCP connector | Your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings decide whether you can add custom connectors |
| Grok | Grok’s connector settings | |
| Cursor hosted agents (cursor.com agents, and Grok Bot) | The agent’s MCP settings | The Cursor desktop editor uses an API token instead |

Not supported yet
| Client | Why | Instead |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in with Drum from Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor desktop or VS Code | These clients sign in through a callback on your own computer, which Drum does not accept yet | Use an API token |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot agents (Agents Toolkit, Teams developer portal) | Their registration needs a client secret, and Drum’s OAuth has public clients only | Use Copilot Studio |
| Other hosted clients | Drum accepts Sign in with Drum only from clients it has verified | Use an API token if the client accepts one, or ask Drum support to add the client |
| Clients that need an SSE stream or a local (stdio) server | Drum’s server is remote and answers plain JSON | Use a client with Streamable HTTP |
